Texture and Stone

Every week we have an informal mini-competition in Oslo Kamera Klubb. Yesterday I came in third with this shot of a car hood.

A building is reflected in both the car hood and the front window of a car. Texture can also be smooth like a clean car hood.

Earlier this autumn i also got a third place under the subject "Stone" with av version of this second shot taken from a bridge:

I recommend going out with your camera looking for a specific subject. Like Stone, Texture, Structure, Metal, Red, Shadow, Reflection.... It really sharpens your eye to be forced to look for a specific subject and I can guarantee you will learn a lot and come home with images very different from your usual style.
